Chair Racing Simulator 0.1.8.0a - Xmas, mobile, Valeria

Hi everyone! 👋

It's been a while since the last update, so I thought you might want to have a little more background information about this last update and about what's coming next!

So, here goes...

First of all, this update got much more delayed than I thought it would! The plan was to released it somewhere around Christmas and until early January at least - but life had other plans 🙄

Due to working on this update on practically every free minute I could get, beside my full time job, family AND the Broke After Xmas game jam my sleeping schedule completely drifted away which resulted in a constant state of tiredness and a kind of dizziness!

So I decided to step back for a while to get myself back on the tracks before I would continue to work on this game... And here we are finally! 🙌

Originally, I only wanted to add the Xmas season mode but then decided to add a little more to make up for the delay!

The first addition was a new secret character: Valeria the Pagan Priestess 💜

It's a Metroidvania like game with a very nice main character which is still in development. Check them out here on itch: https://valeriathepriestess.itch.io/

While this was a spontaneous addition, the other one was on my to do list for quite some time: Add touch controls and release an Android version! I'm really happy with how smooth the touch controls turned out and hope you enjoy it as well!

Btw: you can also play the html-version on your mobile phone (iPhone and Android 😉)! You just need to turn on touch controls in the options menu first.

Alright, what's coming next? 🤔

The next update will be packed with new content:

- new track: Anthony's Home (with loads of new props, obstacles, traps and more!)

- 5 new chairs to choose from (4 regular, one secret), all with a different driving behaviours

- reworked AI behaviour

- a new secret character

I've already started to work on the spritesheets for the different characters sitting in the new chairs, implemented the new AI behaviour and am about half way done with the new track! It will still take a few weeks I guess to finish everything but the wait will be worth it!
